If your Edyn Water Valve shows 'device inactive,' this could be for two reasons:
1) The battery is depleted to 0%, and the valve has gone into low-power mode to protect its battery from damage. You can confirm this in your valve's settings screen. To resolve this, please place the valve in direct sunlight for 3-5 hours and tap the sync button to reconnect to wifi.
2) Your wifi signal is low or experiencing intermittent connectivity. You can also confirm this in your valve's settings screen. If the valve loses its wifi connection, it will try to reconnect every 3 minutes for the next 30 minutes. After that point, it will reduce its connection frequency to once per hour until it can successful reconnect. This is intended to conserve battery life. You can always tap the sync button to force a reconnection. To resolve low wifi signal, we recommend moving your router or Edyn Water Valve to be closer together.
